Q t. . ol HISTORY OF SENIORS In the year 1936 most of us began our first step upward as far as school IS concerned The only one of us to start and complete this journey to a diploma in the Hatfield school IS Bob Slote We didn t really work hard unt1l about the year '43 which was the beginning of our hzgh school days We began our senior year in 46 with twelve members Lloyd Ridmgs saw fit to drop his schooling and enter service for our country This leaves only eleven to go to the funsh Below is a brief story of the remainmg eleven Eldon McCafferty was born at Boles Arkansas and attended school there until the first eleven grades were completed He and h1s family moved to Hat field all 46 wh1ch gave him a chance to attend the Hatfield School for his senior year Opal Griffin was born at Hatfield, Arkansas The f1rst seven grades were completed in the Hatfield School At that time she and her fam1ly moved to California The eighth grade was spent in two different schools m Califorma The ninth being spent in the Venture California Junior hxgh The fanuly moved back to Hatfield where the last three grades were completed Ieweldme Clawson was born 1D Arapac, Oklahoma At the age of five she entered a country school in Oklahoma where she d1d the first grade She and her family moved to Hatfield in the year of 1936 where the remaining eleven grades were made J'ack1e Calvery was born in Nocona, Texas She attended the first grade in the Dallas School ln '36 the family moved to Hatfield In 39 she decided to enter the Hatfield school and completed the remaining eleven grades Evia Jeanne Anderson was born in Hatfield, Arkansas She did her first entered school at Cove Arkansas thus finishing the first three grades there She later moved to Hatfield and entered school in the fourth grade The re rnamder of her work to complete high school was spent in the Hatfield School Lenora Borders was born in Western Oklahoma She started to school at Katy Oklahoma in 1933 and attended school there for two years She moved to Potter and attended school there for almost three years, then started to Hatfield where she began the fifth grade and d1d the remaining grades to com plete high school Harve Williams was born in Hatfield, Arkansas His fir st years school mg was done m Texas He entered the Hatfield school in the second grade and started to the twelfth but when he was in the eleventh grade Uncle Sam dec1ded things differently for him by callmg him into service for our country, and keep ing h1m for three long years This was a great slow down 111 h1s educat1on but not enough to discourage him. When the Navy was through with him he came back to Hatfield to fzmsh his last years work Milburn Oglesby was born in Alder Springs, Arkansas His first eight vs-ars of schooling was spent in the Alder Springs school In 43 he entered the Hat field school to do his high school work thus he stayed to the fzmsh. Vestal Southern was born in Alder Sprmgs, Arkansas He entered school at Alder Springs at the age of six, where he stayed until the first eight grades were completed In '43 he entered Hatfield School and stayed to the finish Bob Slote was born in Hatfield All his schooling has been in the same school Uncle Sam saw fit to take him out of school for two years to give h1s services m the Marines for our country When that miss1on was filled he came back to Hat f1eld school to complete hxs high school work.
