v Then they saith among themselves, Let us travel by boat on the Delaware to Wilmington that this may be the social function of this year. After many days they set forth, and returned, rejoicing. Thus the year was finished and the host, seeing that all things were good, agreed to return after resting. Therefore, there came unto the same place, many that were called Sophomores. Their studies increased 5 they found new subjects and their learning broadened. And one from their group was heard saying, We shall give a party and dance on St. Patriclfs Day, and shall join in the festivityf' According to that which was commanded, the affair was held and many attended. Therefore, they concluded their second year at this house of learning, and it came to pass that it was a successful year. Likewise, in the same manner, they were assembled in one place, as Iuniors. There was a symbol for this year, a maroon and white pennant, and each owned one and was proud of it. Now in these days, such was the custom to give a Iunior Reception. So there was much planning and great preparation for the coming feat. Therefore, as it was prophesied to be a great success, such must be the fulfill- ment thereof. . -ELSIE DUDBRIDGE. ..:gI 25 Ig..
