CLASS PROPHECY M. G. M. Studios Hollywood, California May 5, l957 Dear Dott, You can't imagine how proud all your classmates from Hasty are to 'hear that you are opening tonight at Carnegie Hall. Best of luck to you! Since it has been ten years since we graduated from Hasty, and about that long since I saw you, I thought you might be interested in what's happened to some of our classmates. Do you remember how Bill and Shorty used to stay together?-Well, they're in Chicago now. Bill is president of the Marshall Fields Co. and Shorty is a night club owner, and as usual has his arms full of pretty women. Guess who visited me over the week-end? Carrie Lou,iRobert, and little Robert Ill. Sparky's also married to Devoe Sink, She can't cook, but Devoe doesn't seem to mind. Kenneth finally latched on to Pollie and they have the cutest twins. Their names are Lollie and Mollie. Mary Frances johnson is the manager of the Rush, Rush, Rush Business Col- lege in Washington and joan Bowers, Gladys Davis, and Helen johnson are her able assistants. They are really doing well. Lois must have liked shorthand because she's teaching commercial at Greensboro College. Dolan Cecil is a major in the Marines and does he look grand? I received a picture from him just the other day. Oh, yes, Dot Lawson is doing wonderful work in her profession as a missionary. She is now in a quaint little town in South Africa. You remember how lazy jack, Kenney, and Donald were? Well, they're still taking it easy. They're co-owners in the jack, You Drive lt Automobile Corp. And, can you believe ,it-Q'Bumpy our handsome boy, is in Honolulu with plen-ty cf money and pretty women. His rich uncle died. Also Marie Ripple is working at the naval base in Bainbridge, Maryland. Don't you know she's happy-loving Navy men as she doesl ' By the way, Grease Monkey, Ronald C., is chief mechanic at the Atlantic States Motor Lines. And little jimmy Moser is president of the First National Bank. That really surprised me. And heres another surprise, jimmy Kennedy is a lawyer. I guess you can understand that from the way he used to argue and get in the last word, even under his breath. Vernell and Faye Dean are also doing bank work in Florida. ,I know they're enjoying the sunshine. I need not tell you about Ritchie's being in Hollywood, for you've probably already seen her first picture, Fair State. And Donnie, too, is-a Powers model, but she's in New York, maybe you'Il get to see her. If so, give her my love. Frances and Hazel are nurses at Duke Hospital and you can imagine how well they're doing with their sweet dispositions. This will really knock your hat off, Farlane, Bill Cecil, and William are playing with the St. Louis Cardinals and theyvvon out in the play-off. How about that? And our boy Windy is coaching basketball at Chapel Hill. I think it s just grand because he really loved the game.. Peggy and june are two good stenographers in Texas at one of the big oil com- panies. You know, down where the long-horns grow. Well, Dott, I think that takes care of all our classmates except me, and I'm still at the M.G.M, Studios doing secretarial work and loving it. I close now, once again wishing you the best of luck ever. With love, Hjessyn
