LGTS TO DO AS A FACULTY MEMBER Every year, new faculty members join the staff at Hastings Senior High. This year H.H.S. welcomed seven new teachers. Bruce Wood stepped into Mr. Roehr's shoes to take over the orchestras. Patricia Carlson teaches in the resource room. Jane May joined the ranks of the English department teaching staff and Clovis Hahn became our Title I reading teacher. Teaching half-days was the new freshman home economics teacher, Jan Sherry. Also joining the staff was Phyllis Hobbs in the business department and a new fundamentals of art teacher, Jean Claus. Faculty often participate in pep rallies, and this year was no exception. A few unknown teachers showed their chorus line ability to the tune of The Stripper , while Mr. Kroeger led the orange look for the crowd. During the A.F.S, fund drive, Mrs. Clowe's graffitti board made a nice sum for her homeroom. Mr. QRogersi May also helped his homeroom with their A.F.S. punk roch show. After a while, a new teacher did get into the act. Cha-cha-cha, Mr. Wood!
