The Hastings Chapter of S.A.D.D. encourages high school students to not drink and drive. Each year S.A.D.D. spon- sors a dance to raise money for its activities, which include designing a display case and placing anti-drinking and driving reminders in flower boxes and tuxedo’s at prom time. S.A.D.D. has five co-chairman who all share the gover- ning responsibilities equally. The chairman are Cherie Swank, Mark Slocum, Coleen Sootsman, Traci Warren, and Lori Hough. The members sing at various local functions and parties as well as out of town engagements. Being a member of troubadours requires an above average singing ability and jazz comprehension. To be a member one must be a member of concert choir and then pass an audition. The Troubadours meet every Tuesday from 3:30 to 5:00 in the choir room.
