Students sacri- fice time and effort in hopes of capturing first-place honors for their class in the annual competition. In this year's judging, top rating was given to the senior project which cleverly depicted a swami foretelling future events - encluding, of course, a Saxon victory over Charlotte. Houselights dimmed, crowds hushed, and the curtain went up on the perennial favorite, Meet Me In St. Louis. Set in turn of the century Missouri, the perform- ance was enhanced by colorful costumes, lively scenery, and gay humor. The audience delighted to the woes and antics of the Smith family, their friends and neighbors, as they prepare to welcome the World's Fair to their hometown. Fresh, enthusiastic, portrayals sparked the presentation and merited, for all those connected, the praise of a job well done. First pick a piece, then, with the index finger, make a small incision ... Kathy Dorman, Sandy Belson, and Terry McClosky employ the disection technique in nibbling chocolates. The gracious way to welcome company. Facial expressions register when a lifelike dummy is introduced into the script. 13
