Queen Ann Clarey Ideas took shape, and preparations yielded end products as Homecoming 1963 came into focus under the title of Mystic Mirages. Spirits were set ablaze at the pregame bonfire and continued to burn with the events which followed. Hours of planning and labor culminated in the pageantry of the gaily decorated floats and high-stepping band. Presiding over the festivities in regal splendor was lovely Ann Clarey, pictured at right receiving her crown from retiring queen, Cheryl Leonard. A mirage, it is said, is a transient beauty - fading from sight all too quick. But Homecoming 1963 will long remain a dream in the hearts of Hastings students. Ufotges” Become A Reality
