The cast and chorus of “Hose Marie” depict a major scene. The choir, under the direction of Mr. Moyer, captivated two capacity audiences with “Rose Marie”, this year. The Canadian love story came alive, complete with Ca- nucks, Indians, trappers, dance hall girls and mounties. In attempting to prove that love eventually conquers all. Rose Marie (Carolyn Skidmore( and Jim Kenyon (Dean Dingman), plus the rest of the cast and chorus, sang and danced their way through such memorable hits as “Indian Love Call,” “Rose Marie,” “The Mounties Song,” “Vive La Canadian and “Totem Tom Tom.” The orchestra, comprised of 21 talented towns- people, was especially fine this year. Spe- cial recognition should be given to Freddy Hauser, an “unsung heroine,” who devoted many hours of her time toward making the operetta a success. All in all, we can be very proud of our choir for the excellent shows they have done in the past, and the ones they will do in the future.

This season was extra triumphant for the Saxons for they had a perfect League record winning all six of their games. Part of their success could be accounted for by the enthusiastic crouds, which followed the team. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SAXONS!
