Class Hnstory Twelve green but happy Freshmen sk1pped up the h1ll and enthusnastncally took our seats rn the H H S assembly for our f1rst year of h1gh school on Agusut 28 l95O They were Chester Hall Gerald Ham1lton, Roger Smnth Herb Hoover Jack Courtuer Phrllrp Benson, Cec1l Clark Joe Hoover Ronnne Curtns Darrell Taylor Darwun Schurr and Norma Granteer Ph1ll1p left us after the f1rsts1x weeks Our sublects for that year were Englush 9 algebra agrnculture and general scuence That year we sponsored a Valentune Party for the hrgh school students and teachers On September 3 l95l enght old class members and one new member Oeorgene Parker cllmbed the long h1ll wrth a bugger smnle than ever because we were Sophomores Our sublects were Englnsh l0 world hnstory commerclal law and geometry Our teachers were Mr Malony Mr Gnllen and Mrs Dav1s On September l l952 nxne students came happuly up the long hull to be members of the Junlor Class Ronnle had left to attend Strahan and Darlene Carson had lonned us On October 28 l952 we held our class play Patty Makes Thlngs Hum at the Hastungs Commumty Bunldang On January 23rd we rece1ved our class rlngs and showed them w1th much prnde Our teachers were Mr Malony Mr G1llen Mrs Davus and Mrs Kemp Our sublects Th1s year we honored the Senuors at a banquet g1ven at the Blackstone Hotel 1n Omaha Ap 117 1953 On August 31 l953 eught tudents came up the h1ll to be members of the Sen1or Class They were Darrell Taylor Chester Hall Norma Granteer Georgene Parker Lela Colluns Jack Courtuer Cec1l Clark and Joe Hoover Joe Hoover left us after the f1rsts1x weeks Our sublects were Amencan government Amencan lnterature typ1ng b1ology book keepung economncs and socnology Our teachers were Mr Malony Mr Glllen and Ms Davns On October l6 l953 we went to Omaha to have Sen1or plctures taken Baccalaureate servuces were held on May 9 l954 at the Hastrngs Methodust Church We recenved our duplomas at Commencement Exercnses on May ll l954 at the Hastungs Communuty Bunldung L xge 8 O I . . . . . . . , .
