SENIOR CLASS PRGPHECY The year 1n 1960 and we fmd ourselves gl1d1ng along xn an atom1c drzven car We cruxse down the hlghway and the dr1ver comes to a screechxng halt before a great mass of ra1lroad lxnes We wa1t unt1l the tra1n clears the cross1ng before we go on xnto a very large and modern c1ty Not knowmg the name of the cxty we stop 1n front of a large bu1ld1ng We enter and ask the pro prletor the name of the Clty To our surpr1se we fmd It IS Hast1ngs The propr1etor of th1s large concern 15 none other than Orv1lle Dunbar who operates the Dunbar rallroad a l1ne wh1ch runs between Chxcago and Hastmgs He seems to have done very well for h1mself 1n a f1nanc1al way as h1s house IS one of the four flnest ones 1n Hastmgs We 1nqu1re as to t1me and dec1de we had better wander down the road As we approach the car we look up and see a b1g s1gn CoJrt1er Construct1on Company We dec1de to fmd out Wh1Ch Courtler It IS and to our surpr1se lt 15 none other than James He has been 1n th1s busmess s1nce h1s graduat1on from good old H H S He too l1ves 1n one of the f1nest houses 1n town xn fact he and Orvllle are next door ne1ghbors Hoagan tells us that H0OtCh1e 15 now engaged 1n one of the largest nursery bus1ness s 1n the M1d West We f1nd that h1s nursery and off1ce 15 just one bloek away so we dec1de to drop 1n and V1S1t h1m He tells us he l1ves nexghbors to Orv1lle and James and that he al o has one the n1cest houses 1n Hast1ngs We ask Hoagan zf he knows or has heard anythlng about Lloyd Bryah Hoagan then tells us that Lloyd also l1ves 1n I-lastlngs In fact Lloyd l1ves ne1ghbors to Hoagan Orv1l1e and Hootch1e We look at our watches and dec1de xt IS about dxnner t1me We say goodby to Hoagan Hootch1e and Orvllle and get mto our car After dr1v1ng around town lookxng for a place to eat we fmally come to a very mee lookmg cafe We read the Slgh and xt says Bryan s Cafe We go 1n and s1t down A wa1tress comes over to our table and takes our order We ask her 1f Lloyd Bryan was the owner She says he 15 We ask her 1f she would go tell h1m we were there because we would l1ke to see h1m After awlnle Lloyd comes over to our table and s1ts down Whnle we are eatlng our dlnner we have long talk wlth Lloyd lt IS gettmg late and we had better be go1ng We say good by to Lloyd and thank h1m for a very good d1nner So we leave the SBDIOTS ot 1949 and Journey on our way 10 1 - 1 on .
