LEI The Junior-Senior banquet and Prom was held May 21, 1960, in the high school student commons and gymnasium. The banquet lasted from 6:30 to 8:00 and the dance from 8:30 till 12:00. The High School principal, F. J. Jappinga gave the welcome, the Reverend Charles O. Erickson offered the invocation before the banquet, and Conrad Nathan gave a fine speech after the banquet. The Modernaires, a very talented musical group, provided the dance with most enjoyable music. The center of the gym was graced by a fountain and surrounding it were several palm trees. Couples were seated at small tables around the dancing area. The overall appearance of the decorations was most pleasing to the eye. The Senior Class of 1960 wishes to express appreciation to the Junior Class of 1960 for the nice banquet and the colorful dance. It was an enjoyable evening for everyone as the Hawaiian theme was successfully carried out at the banquet and dance.
