The makings of a yearbook are great. Credit should be given to those who made this Dixit possible. In the fall of 1959 the staff consisted of Dave Abendroth, Dan Condon, Pam Darbon, Erik Dropping, Adeline Helming, Tom Hicks, Dan Hynes, Sara Jappinga, Frances Rnndel, Nancy Runyon, Jann Smith, and Kay Stanke. You ' ve undoubtedly noticed the fine artwork. It is the product of Dave Abendroth, Dan Condon, and Erik Dropping. Pictures were the responsibility of Nancy Runyon and Kay Stanke. Advertising, by far the most difficult job, was taken care of by Pam Dar¬ bon and Jann Smith. Aside from acting as advertising editor, Jann spent many hours typing up copy. Many thanks to her for that. Dan Hynes and Tom Hicks were completely in charge of the Sports section. They, too, did a thorough job. Tom is another staff member who did other things besides Sports for the Dixit. ” Sara Jappinga, business manager, wrote out receipts, totaled up assets, and figured costs for this financially unsound venture. Frances Rundel proof¬ read many copy sheets, as did Adeline Helming. To Adeline the Dixit owes most of its praise. Many Saturdays were spent at her home grinding out a Yearbook. She willingly spent extra hours doing jobs which required patience (and Brains!). There are others, too, such as advertisers, teachers, and parents, to whom credit is due. Thank You for your co-operation! Editor Bob Schiably
