Senior Class Prophecy of 1950 As I went up to the Haskins Publishing Office, to get my next assignment, the Boss said I was to take a trip, with all expenses paid, to get the lastest history about the Atomic Class of 1950. I was to be ready to start the next morning on the jet special plane 6321073 which the Haskins Airport has just purchased. The first member I called upon was Dr. James Watts, known as the ““Genius of Science’’. Dr. Watts has invented a bomb which excells both the atomic and the hydrogen bomb. His life is in such danger from enemies who want the formula of the bomb that he has employed a full time body guard, who is none other than Ted Wenig, better known as Flat Foot Wenig of the Bull Dog Dectective Agency. After getting the history of these two noted men, I again boarded the jet special plane 6321073, and started for the deepest and most mysterious jungles of Africa. After having traveled for many days through the dark jungle, I found Jim Nicholson and Paul Eckel, who are better known as The World's Greatest Lion Tamers. When I asked them what they were doing in such a place, Jim and Paul told me they were getting some lions to take to New York to put in the zoo which they own. I was glad to get out of the jungle, and back to the United States. I arrived in Philadelphia and after looking at my list I found I could locate Arleta Snyder at the Phila- delphia House of Music. Arleta told me she was leaving in the afternoon for a tour of England with her all girls’ orchestra. In the same city I found Dick Huss who is the owner of the Deluxe Baby Rattles Company. I found his private secretary to be Mary Snyder. Mary told me it gets tiresome listening to Dick rattle on. My next stop was at the Hospital for Babies. To my surprise I found Richard Snyder the chief doctor. It happened Dr. Snyder was cut to lunch. I found his assistant to be Charlotte Murdock. Charlotte and Richard have been in partnership for the last ten years. A baby started crying so my interview ended very quickly. After looking at my list again, the name of Leotta Limes appeared. I found Leotta before the camera at the White Orchid Model Agency. Leotta is at the head of the fashion magazine “Inchanging Fashions” Again I boarded my plane and looking out the window I saw a large farm. After landing I found the owner Harold Weihl. He specialized in raising chickens with teeth and sheep with pink wool. I was near Los Angeles and so I decided to take a stroll down Vine Street. I was approaching Hollywood Avenue when I saw a large traffic jam. You guessed it! A woman traffic cop and to my surprise I found out it was June Robinson. She enjoys her work very much. As I looked at my list, just two names appeared. They were Bonnie Browne and Marion Sutton. I found out they are running a Beauty Salon with the slogan “We dare you to try our new beauty chair!’’ This is one of their own inventions in which you get a shampoo, wave, manicure, facial and massage all at the same time. They call their shop, ‘The Dare Devil Beauty Salon.”’ With my assignment completed, I climbed into my plane and decided to take a two week's vacation with pay in Florida. Do you think this will really happen in 1960? Wait and see.
