ee SS f: CLASS HISTORY Twelve years ago, the Senior Class of 1948 or most of it, walked through the doors of Haskins High School for the first time, and optimistically demanded an education, Of the Twenty or Twenty-five first graders who started here in 1936, only five: Sam Genson, Ray Porter, Arlyn Snyder, Shirley Heiman, and Bernita Noward have remained to complete their entire twelve years of school in the Haskins High School. Of course, we gained members as we passed from grade to gradee We started our high school career with an enrollment of fif- teen Freshmen, brimming with the naive self-assurance that only Freshmen possesse After initiation we were settled down and ready to start our high school future. We entered our Sophomore yeer with an enrollment of fourteen, one less than we had in our Freshman year. Miriam Simons left, and moved to Perrysburge We started our career in sports’ and, other activities in our Sophomore year. Our sponsor, Miss Mer= cer, furnished us with many exciting parties. When we came to school as Juniors, with an enrollment of thirteen, we missed one of our studentse She was Ruth Norvell who moved to Bowling Greene Mre Loomis was our class sponsor, this year. SENIOR CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of 1948, in our right minds, leave our only possessions to the Junior Class. BERNITA NOWARD leaves her talent to chit-chat, giggle, and chew gum to Nathalia Neal in hopes for fewer demerits. DENNIS SERGENT wills his wavy hair and big blue eyes to all the Junior Girls and hopes it will bring them lots of luck. NORMA WALKER leaves her loyalty to one man only to Evelyn Duty in hoves for hapvy hunting. BOB ECKEL wills the Haskins High Basketball Team to Jom Wenig and wishes him a winning 1948-49 season. SHIRLEY HEIMAN cheerfully wills her editorship of the Crim- son and Gold to Pauline Myers in hopes that she will keep the presses hot with news from good, old Haskins High. EENRY WAUTEPS leaves his sense of fair play and pleasant personality to all the Junior Boys. THE FOUR SENTIOn GIRLS leave their squabbles to the four Junior Girls and hope they don't have as many fist fights as we did (joking, of course). RAYMOND PORTER wills his being late to school to Harold Pope who has a good start in keeping up his habit. ARLYN SNYDER leaves his ability for getting quarter day-off cards to Gerry Ennis. NELDA HARTMAN wills her blue ribbon volley-ball team to Joan Gibbs in hopes that she will keep the ball in the air. LYNN SNYDER leaves his wolf-like ways to Harold Pope and hopes that he can be “Lady Killer, Number 2”. ROGER BENGTSON leaves his giggling to all the Junior Boys and hopes that they can be as vopular with the nervous faculty members as he was. SAY GEXSON wills his ability to drive acar to Charles Genson hoving that he will keep out of the ditch. THE SENIOR BOYS pass on to all the Junior Boys the 4,798,007 demerits accumulated by them throughout this past school year and just dare them to come close. We, TEE SENIOR CLASS OF 1948, will to the Junior Class our good looks, charm, and personality in hones that they will have as successful a Senior year es we had. +.
