Let's see hers's a little article that might be good reading. it's headed, Farm Forum , it says here that none other than our own Secretary of Agriculture, Richard Eckel by name, will speak over the Farm Forum , broadcast tonight at 7:30. Bencath the picture it says that Shorty Eckel is ouite famous for that friendly smile, which he showers freely on all that are arcund hin. Well, to go on, the next article is called Topper Teen Timers , and it really is a spread. It features a full--page picture of Teen Timer Show of 1950 , and the limelight is centered upon Miss Beverly Armitage. producer and director. Miss Armitage, althcugh she is still whole-heart and fancy free, writes a very remarkable column in the daily paper, entitled ‘The Hmppy Home , Aw gee, I’m through the book and I was just getting really interested. Here's the last page, though. Just look at those old-fashioned horn-rimmed spectacles: Just who is this distinguished. looking creature? Up here at the top it says that, since this is Educational Week all over the country, the Hot-shot has chosen as the typical educational leader Miss Phyllis Ryder, Latin teacher at Ohio State University. Miss Ryder says that she is happiest when she can just be by herself, in front of an open fireplace, with a good book and read away quietly to her hearts content. Well, so enés the book, I really had found that magazine worth the time it took, and I had solv ed the mystery of my gover girl, and yet----it still seemed a little strange, All these people are famed in théir own line, every one excels in some certain field, and they all seem to come from practically the same locality. Although I can't quite fix them in my mind, even the town sounds familiar. Perrysburg, Bowling Green, Haskins, ---mamnn Maskins$ Yes, of course. How could I have ever forgotten? Haskins 4s our old home-town and Haskins Hi was our Alma Mater. These distinguished people were the ciass of '46, the kids who worried with us over Government, scrapped with us over typewriters, joined us in all our fun, and even helped us Grive the Faculty to a ‘nervous breakdown! Ah yes, those were the good old days, as any of our teachers will tell you ( if they have by this time sufficiently recovered). But those days, the good times we had then, are now just dear memories. ; Yes, this was all written in fun, but there is more to it than that. Now, as you face the future, as your Hi School days are drawing $0 a close, we, the Junior Class, join with the Faculty in bidding you a fond farewell, and extending to you our heartiest wisnege for much success from now on.
