A maior event spon- sored by the class was the annual Junior-Senior Reception which was held on September 16, 1967, at Stidham Union. The class also participated in the Spring, Calnbival. and the annual Barn Dance in the spring. Because of the hard work and effort, these activites were a great success. 22

Bowman, Larry Strom, Barbara Freio, and Ellen Sweezy. l9 During the 1967 school term, six- teen outstanding Haskell Juniors and Seniors served as representatives on the Student Self-governing Association. Election to this council entails both honor and responsibility. As student representives, council members worked with the staff, princi- pal, and the superintendent. They super- vised social Iife, fostered school spirit, and promoted the good name of Haskell throughtout the community. ' The council has sponsored such activities as the Lyceum Program, Talent Show, Sunday movies and all other free movies, dances, and their yearly charity drive.
