L-. q ',, - -ffl.-1-f. - mggfw Y Y Retirements Mrs. Margaret L. Andres, who served as a Haskell staff member for 30 years and two months, retired on June 3, 1967. As a Master Teacher in Home Economics, she taught Commerical Home Economics to the high school students from 1946 to 1963. After 1963 she taught Home Economics to post high school students. During this time she contributed tremendously to the success of many students. For her outstanding work during her years of service, she received a cash award for superior performance and a Meritorious Service Award. Mrs. Alda Smith, an Instruction- al Aid at Winona Hall, retired on November 4, 1967. Mrs. Smith served with the B.I.A. for 28 years, a greater part of this time wastspent at Haskell Institute. A reception was held on November 14, 1967, in hon- or of Mrs. Smith. While she was at Haskell, she contributed greatly to the students and to her fellow work- ers. Participation' in student-centered activities was increasingly noticeable during the year. We have set a worthy example of personal conduct in our dormitories and in our campus activities. As stu- dents, we have proved that we can and will accept responsibility. Our training at Haskell properly equips us to cope with the future. Therefore, we as graduates, eagerly anticipate the opportunity to accept the challenges awaiting us in our chosen fields. l8
