Duane Phillips President A Message from the President Throughout the 1966-67 school term, the student council has sponsored various activities for the enloyment of the student body. It is our hope that the students have enioyed these. We wish to encourage the iuniors to show their school spirit and to participate in campus activities to an even greater extent next year so that the 1967-68 year will be as successful as this year has been. We the members of the 1966-67 Student Self-goveming Association of Haskell Institute wish to commend this year's graduating seniors for their out-standing efforts in obtaining a higher education for the purpose of achieving the Haskell motto: Learn to Eam . Members of the 1966-67 Student-Sell Governing Association Election to the student Council is regarded by Haskell men and women as an honor and a responsibilty. During the l966-67 school term, sixteen Haskell students have been active in our school government. ln accordance with the policy of democratic cooperation between students and staff, the Student Council assists the advisory staff, principal, and superintendent in the guiding of student social lite, in the developement of school spirit, and in inculcating a loyalty to the Haskell ideal of good manhood and womenhood . The activities which are sponsored by the Student Council provide much enioyment for the students. Some of the maior events are: Sunday aftemoon movies and other free movies, all homecoming activities in cooperation with the Pep Club, the Fall Prom, the Student Council dinner with Mr. Will ltogers, Jr., All-sports Banquet, Student Council Outingsy and the Good Ship Hope, Charity Drive.
