i Superintendent Mr. Jesse J. Morgan is completing 45 years service in public school education. He came to our System, an experienced Administrator, in July 1957. A graduate of Dartmouth with an Ed.M. Degree from Harvard, he had served as principal in New Hamp¬ shire and held Superintendencies in Hinsdale, Monson, Auburn and Saugus, Massachusetts prior to com¬ ing to the Chatham-Harwich School Supervisory Union. For eleven and one-half years he held the position of Superintendent of the schools in Chatham and Harwich — since January 1969 in Harwich alone. Mr. Morgan carries membership in the Mass. Association of School Superintendents, The New England Superintendents ' Association and the American Association of School Administrators. He was for many years a member of Rotary Clubs and is now a member of the Central Cape Kiwanis Club. He is active in the work of the First Congregational Church of Harwich, having served on the Board of Trustees and as Moderator. Mr. Morgan would note among accomplishments during thirteen years with the local schools as most im¬ portant: School services expanded and additions of Clinical Speech, Remedial and Developmental Reading, School Adjustment Counselling, a complete new Curriculum Grades K-1 2; improvements of the school plant, and the planning and completion of the new Harwich Jr-Sr. High School. He served as Educational Consultant to the Building Committee on the new school construction program. 8
