1971 Hornet Harvey High School Harvey, North Dakota 58341 2 Reflections Lengthening shadows bring reflections Of days that have passed us by, And I think of time and I think of life, And I sometimes wonder why. . . That time can't be stayed And enjoyed without loss As the sun and earth and sky. And the more I think the more I am sure That nothing can ever be lost; So each one may choose and invest his time, For time is a part of the cost, And each one can live and reflect on the past For nothing will ever be lost. 3 .. . Believe in yourself and step out unafraid. . A chance that is equal with all in the strife, A cour- age to strive and to dare. .. . molding, line by line, the human mind. TABLE OF CONTENTS WISH ... This year the Student Coun- cil hosted Homecoming and Sno-Fest and in addition spon- sored many other activities for the student body. Among these were the Veterans Day program, an open house during American Education Week, an open forum, Peppermint Post Office, Earth Day clean up and picnic, a book fair, a mini workshop on parli- mentary procedure, Hush Day and Green Horn Day. It also sponsored a Sadie Hawkins dance and sev- eral other sock hops. The senior class play, a three act comedy consisting of eight men and ten women, was presented on May 21, 1971 in the high school auditorium. They run in the Pennywinner family. They run, they jog, they do push ups, and they all do their part to make the Pennywinner household a veritable gymnasium. All, that is, except Mom and teenager Peggy who insist that life can- not revolve around athletics just because Dad coaches the Central High Frogs. He coaches football in the fall, basket- ball in the winter, track in the spring, baseball in the summer, then, as Mom laments, We start the vicious circle all over again. 41 ATHLETICS Linebacker Craig Wollenburg comes around end. And Now We Do Begin Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.
