Ably serving the student body this year, l95O-51, in the executive positions of our student government are Ann Willis, president, Canby Dautel, vice-president, and Marlene Hallock, secretary. The duties required in these positions are endless throughout the year, and the occupants deserve much credit, The legislative branch of our student government here at Harvey is the Student Coun- cil. The Council's job is to make the governing laws of the school. The president of the Student Council this year is Joe Marano. The faculty advisor to this hard-working group is Mr. Layton Pollock. Last, but certainly not least, is the Student Court, the judicial branch of our govern- ment. lt sees that justice reigns. The Chief Justice this year is Tom Guerra. Mr. Dale Smith is the faculty advisor to the group. The students of Harvey High School are very proud of their student government. lt has been functioning here since l924, when one honor study hall was established. Soon afterward honor study halls were on the increase. Then, some time later, student body officials were elected. Following this came the Student Council and Student Court, in operation since l935.
