In reality, each committee handles its own affairs with little or no outside interferenceg and, for this reason, meetings of the Executive Board are held only at rare intervals under normal conditions. But when problems of Class manage- ment arise, it is its members who determine how to solve them to the best ad- vantage of the men they represent. Membership on the Executive Board is a mark of distinct ability along a certain line, and every man on it has made a great contribution to his Class. 13
