The -Entertainment Committee , CHARLES NICFVICIAI Nou'roN, lflwzferman IIICNRY Ivlcs Colm, 3rd, Sub-lflulfcrnzan Bertrand F. Bell Tlieodore F. Kane Henry B. Sawyer Robert 0. Bishop vvlllilllll 'l'. King Francis L. Spalding Justin D. Bowersock VVilliam W. Neff John D. Strong Morton Cole Henry H. Newell Jaquelin A. Swords Orton P. Jackson George S. Tiffany, Jr. HIS year the Entertainment Connnittee conceived the excellent idea of making the Freshman Night at the Pops into a dance as Well as an in- formal concert, and with this in mind arranged that the floor of Symphony Hall should be laid out in small group tables instead of the usual seating arrangement, and that after the concert a dance orchestra would take the floor. Negotiations Were- also carried on with a team of specialty dancers to vary the program a bit more. Unfortunately, when the committee took-its novel plan before the Regent for approval and executive sanction, it was informed that the college could not allow such an affair to take place, and it was forced to lay aside its carefully planned scheme. After considerable deliberation and the reviewing of several plans to take the place of the shattered one, the committee could arrive at no satisfactory conclusion and finally decided to disband and forego the Freshman Night for this year. MllCl1 credit and appreciation is due the committee for its tireless efforts to provide an entertainment, and it is to be much regretted that its work could not bear fruit, for these Pops ,' are one of the best ways of getting the class together and of arousing a unified spirit. l31l
