Secretary-Trea.surer 0 the list of nominees appointed by the Student Council on February 16th for tl1e officers of the Class of 1929, were added two names, each upon the petition of thirty-five members of the Class. E. W. Sexton was nominated for president, and H. G. Crosby for the position of secretary-treasurer. The election was held on February 24th, polls being established in the Fresh- man dormitories and in Sever Hall. The Voting, usual, was done on the pref- erential system, each Voter indicating his choice of all candidates in order of preference. In tabulating the votes, the candidate who received the lowest total was elected. The' results of the balloting were announced at the Class Smoker, held just before the Harvard ,29-Yale '29 hockey game. Six hundred and eighteen Votes had been cast, resulting in the election of Arthur Eugene French, Jr., as President, Kenneth Douglas Robinson as Vice-President, and Henry Greene Crosby as Secretary-Treasurer. The three men chosen had each taken a prominent part in class athletics. French captained the Football team, while Robinson played tackle, Crosby was an, outstanding member of the Hockey team. v Immediately after the election returns had been announced, the new officers assumed their duties and the Class of 1929 began to function as a separate and organized unit.
