Dedication The purpose of the Harvard Business School is to train young men for positions of responsibility in business. To accomplish this aim, the School has assembled a faculty containing many men, rich in imagination and experience in a particular field of business. Through their research, these men contribute to present-day knowledge of the business process. Through their teaching, the student at the Harvard Business School participates in the finest program in business education yet conceived. To reconcile a strong and diverse faculty with a planned curriculum and to provide the framework in which the School can operate, an organization as complex and vital as any modern business must exist. On Stanley F. Teele, Associate Dean, falls much of the responsibility for the effective and efhcient administration that the Business School needs to accomplish its objectives and remain the leader in business education. Like any successful administrator, Dean Teele understands human nature. He functions not by orders , but by the committee meeting and group action. Like most behind-the-scenes jobs, there is little public recognition for the long hours and tremendous energy required to integrate the various elements that constitute the Harvard Business School. In appreciation of the outstanding services he renders the School, the Amzuul Report is dedicated to Associate Dean Stanley F. Teele. The classes of I949 and I95O 7
