CONSERVATIVIQ CLUB A new political club on campus, the Conservative Club aims to keep the stu- dent body informed ol the consewative movement in the United States. llfleetings during the year included Dr. liinderis speaking on Wl'he American Conserva- tive: a Liberal I-listorian's Approachf, Miss Stucki, club advisor, spoke on 'aThe Artist and Libertyf' and led a panel discussion on Wfhe National Purpose. A newsletter was issued monthly to keep the student body in touch with the club's activities. The International Relations Club is an or- ganization which seeks to cultivate in the student body an awareness and an active interest in world affairs. During the year it presented guest lecturers and group discussions, which gave its members a greater famil- iarity witli the trouble-spots of the world. This year delegates from the Hartwick International Relations Club attended the Middle Atlantic Regional Confer- ence in Baltimore, Md. BETA BETA BETA Tri-Beta, a national honor so- ciety for the students of the biological sciences, has encouraged student research on such things as the growth of bacteria. The members also helped equip a student research laboratory in the new Hall of Science and sponsored a lecture on Wild Life by Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland P. Grant, Walt Disney photog- raphers.
