First, we bring you the Art League, an organization for the purpose of beau- tifying Hartwell's fine building and promoting the students! appreciation of art. To carry out this purpose, the home room representatives collect dues every Thursday morning. This group, chosen from the home rooms, comprises the president, Luther Cooper, secretary, Ann Hertelg treasurer, Esther Dearwesterg and other members including Robert Bierman, Billy Myers, Ben Tuttle, Rose Mary Kelly and Wanda Beach. The current year is evidence of the success of the Art League in bringing about an appreciation of beauty in the students. Backed one hundred per cent by the students, the committee has secured a second Rookwood fountain, which has been placed in the upper hall. As sponsor of the club, Miss Bartlett has made the work of the committee enjoyable as well as successful. 38
