GIRL ' SPORT With a variety of sports to suit all tastes and abilities, the Girls' Athletic Association provides fun and an outlet for excess energy, builds character, and promotes both mental and physical well-being. For girls who enjoy competitive sports, teams in hockey, volleyball, basketball, baseball, and tennis are organized. For those who prefer non-competitive athletics, hiking, swimming parties, and bowling are provided. Hartwell girls have experienced a highly successful season in hockey, volleyball and basketball under the direction of Miss Gradolf and Mrs. Dondero. Athletic awards are made on the point basis. Five hundred points win a numeral, one thousand, a letterg and two thousand, a necklace.
