CLASS PROPHECY The reunion of the class of '58 of Hartville. Ohio was held recently on the ship S. S. Savage. All of former students were flown to Cleveland by the Evans Airlines, which are owned by Mr. Richard Evans. Chief Pilot Mr. Terry Ewing was in charge of the flight. The guests were all made comfortable by Mrs. Sandra Sweitzer, the former Sandra Martz. After the party had reached Cleveland and all were aboard the Savage , Miss Vera Miller, who now has her own beauty shop, and her head manicurist, Miss Ina Green, gave all the ladies a hairstyling and manicure. Plus this all the ladies received mink stoles, compliments of Mr. Earl Kettering. Later a spaghetti dinner was served with the compliments of Miss Terry Pagna, who is now the owner of Garesi's Spaghetti House. Terry is noted around the world for her famous spaghetti. Food was also supplied by Hugh who has taken over his father's dairy store. Mrs. Bonnie Tokas, the former Bonnie Poe, now Produce Manager of the Nation's Kroger Stores, sent food for the rest of the cruise. Mrs. Tokas in- formed the guests that Kroger's receive all of their produce from the Zellers Produce Farms, now owned by Mr. Kenneth Zellers. While on the subject of farming it was mentioned that Mr. Clarence Hinnerman owns one of the largest ldlpiry farms in Ohio. This was brought up by Miss Bonnie Moyer who is the Vice President of the Lawson ilk Co. The guests had no worry when it came to medical care. On board were Dr. James Stoll and his two nurses, Mrs. Becky Marteney, the former Becky Grable and Miss Ianet Leadbetter. For extreme cases Miss Carol Laughlin the noted psychiatrist, was on board. She specializes in the mental disorders of high school teachers. Quite a few of the former students have entered the teaching profession. Teaching grade school are Miss Penny Kinsley and Miss Leona Coblentz. Teaching in High School is Miss Carol Eshelman. Going even higher is Professor Donald Anstine, who is mathematics Professor at Mount Union College. Many of the young women are now secretaries. Miss Bonnie Slusser is secretary to Mr. Lowell Kinsley, who is the President of Uniontown Savings and Loan. Miss Ruth Borntrager is private secretary of Mr. Willard Kanal, who is President of the Monarch Rubber Company in Hartville. Mr. Richard Mishler, who is running for his second term as Mayor of Akron, could not attend. He was busy campaigning. Bill Davis also could not attend. He had to play in the All-American vs. Pro. game in Los Angeles. The former Judy Iackson was there with her famous husband. He is a five-star general in the Army. Miss Nancy Hoffman has given up modeling and has opened her own charm school in Hollywood. Of course many of the women have settled down to a life of homemaking and motherhood. Patty Atkinson the former Pat Gold is raising a family and is helping her husband run the County Line Market. Mrs. Marsh Keppler, formerly Marsha Orr, is now living in California and is the mother of eight children. Linda Slingluff, now Mrs. Dale Stermer, is the mother of six sons. Mr. Larry Ringer is now U. S. delegate to the U. N. He has done a lot for world peace and for the United States. Mr. Lynn Stuhldreher, who owns a chain of national and international machine shops, was unable to attend the reunion. Mrs. Marlene Rogacs, formerly Marlene Atkinson, has also joined the secretarial profession. She is a private secretary for the Akron Insurance Company. Mr. Robert Bourn who is one of the largest contractors in the States, has a large affiliation with the Schory Cement Block Co. This company is of course owned by Mr. William Schory. All of the gentlemen received a much appreciated gift of a Cadillac, donated by Mr. Robert Bohay- chyk who is President of General Motors. Ot course this gift didn't mean much to Sonny Manno and Larry Stout, who are stock car drivers. Dale Bishop also drives his own special car. His is black with the word POLICE spelled out in big red letters. Gas for all the cars was donated by Mr. Ronnie Miller who has taken over his father's gas station. During the evening Keith Knowles held the attention of all the guests as he told of his experiences as a Nuclear Physicist. Pat Brown added much to the evenings entertainment with her songs. Mr. Noah Borntrager, the noted poet added to the evenings entertainment for he was spouting poetry constantly, it was reported. Miss Katie Cavalier the world's most famous lady Detective was also aboard protecting everyone's valuables. Iudy Oswald, her bodyguard and Photographer fshe has a lot of Publicityl, was along to get pictures for her columns in the New York Times. These former students all enjoyed themselves and, as you can plainly see. turned out much better than most of their former teachers predicted.

HARTVI LLE HISTORY HARTVILLE CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1946, a group of frightened, starry-eyed children entered the port of education at Hart- ville. We were a small, eager crew of thirty people. Our Skippers on this first voyage were Mrs. Knight and Miss Merkle. In the the second grade we set sail with Mrs. Malone and Mrs. Cathon. Our greatest achievement this year was learning to write. Next, we embarked into the rough waters of grade three with Mrs. Fulmer and Mrs. McCartney. Among the things to master this year was learning to multiply. We set sail in our fourth year with Miss Shaffer and Mrs. McCartney. This was the year of our first exams. Finally, in our fifth year, we were sent topside where our upstairs teachers were Mr. Brumbaugh and Mrs. Balliet. Two new members signed up with the crew-Iudy Iackson and Linda Slingluff. As sixth graders, our adventure as Grade School Chi1dren was almost over. Our teachers were Mr. Werstler and Mr. Paul. In the seventh grade, we welcomed a few more privileges and changed classes for the first time. Our first experiences in parliamentary procedure were in evidence as we held class meetings and elected class officers. This year, Mr. Savage was appointed our sponsor, and we were happy to have Carol Eshelman sign the roster. Two new sailors joined our eighth grade crew--Terry Ewing and Leona Coblentz. This was the year for better organized class meetings and the responsibility of dance arrangements along with more interest- ing and varied activities. The day finally arrived for our great promotion. Our rank was raised to Freshmen. This year we chose our subjects and elected the following officers: President, Bill Schoryp Vice President, Bonnie Slusser: Secretary, Keith Knowles: Treasurer, lim Stoll. Two new students carne aboard on this voyage-Katie Cavalier and Noah Borntrager. When our Sophomore year arrived, we sold basketball schedule pencils. Other activities included a Sock Hop and a May Dance. Our class officers were: Pres.,' Bill Schory: V. P., lim Stoll: Sec'y., Keith Knowles: Treas., Larry Ringer. In our Iunior year, we were the skippers of the concession stand for both football and basketball. This kept us very busy. The big event for us was the Iunior-Senior Prom. Our class jackets arrived, of which we were very proud. The class officers this year were: Pres., lim Stoll: V. P., Keith Knowles: Sec'y., Iudy Iackson: Treas., Bonnie Slusser. One new sailor signed up this year-Ruth Borntrager.
