SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY Twas the n1ght after graduat1on and all through the1r m1nds students were rem1n1sc1ng of days left beh1nd Upon the scene appears the future and the past IS put aslde Ten years have gone by now and we fxnd the class of 52 spread far across the globe As we look 1nto a beaut1ful home located 1n Hartv1lle we f1nd a charm1ng young woman bus1ly gettmg her two small ch1ldren ready for school Yes I belleve 1t IS lean Fausmght now Mrs lack Sl1'1CklCl'1 lean 1S also a part t1me model along Wllh be1ng a very eff1c1ent housew1fe Iust down the street from the Str1ck1ch home we fmd another modern house w1th two ch1ldren play1ng cops and robbers In the back yard we fmd a young mother hurry1ng to get her wash ln before 1t ra1ns Th1s hard work1ng woman 15 Dolores Carm1chael who has been keep1ng house and ra1s1ng a fme famxly smce graduat1on Her husband has set up a f1ne busmess for hrmself and IS none other than Nelson Moor Nelson has three very eff1c1ent secretar1es work1ng 1n h1s 0ff1Ce and all three of these g1rls are old classmates They are Sh1rley Evans Ehzabeth Vaughan and Ianlce Besse Larry Rerchen bach 1S also assoclated 1n the COIPOIGIIOD of Moor and Rerchenbach Larry IS qulte an expert 1n the f1eld of engmeermg As I walk down the street I hear the strams of Claxre de Lune be1ng played The studro door reads The Kanel Stud1o Inslde there 18 a muslc teacher g1v1ng a pxano lesson to one of her many students Th1s stud1o 1S occup1ed by Mary Lou Kanel now a profess1onal p1an1st and teacher Along w1th her we f1nd her brother Tom who now IS a band leader rehearsrng h1s boys for the1r next show K1pp K1nsley plays trumpet 1n the Kanel band Next door to the Kanel Stud1o are two apartments whose occupants are Helen Bumbaugh now Mrs B1ll Clubbs and Doree Rubr1ght now Mrs Fulmer and her Don These two couples have settled down to a qulet famlly l1fe Dave Bagnoll IS now one of the head off1c1als at Schumachers As we move out 1nto the farmmg area surroundmg Hartvxlle we flnd a number of large farms On one of these farms IS D1ck Hunt who has been developmg new fann land throughout the Un1ted States Several farm houses away sltuated 1n very comfortable surroundmgs IS Ieralene Mosley now Mrs Earl Pontrus and just across the road l1v1ng on a small farm IS Ieannette K1nsley and her famrly A gal who w1ll always be remembered for her fa1thfulness and w1ll1ngness to help IS now head nurse at Iohns Hopkms Hosp1tal Th1s could be none other than Marge West Soon after graduat1on I1m HUIIISOH wandered off to the far North where he IS a very prosperous trapper Many of h1s furs are used by two of h1s classmates Irm Mohler and Iohn Brothers who have made a name for themselves as furners A busy professor IS s1tt1ng beh1nd h1s desk prepanng the days work It IS none other than Ioe Hupr1ch who 15 now the professor of eng1neer1ng at one of the countr1es leadmg colleges lack Frease IS now head engmeer for the Hartong concern Th1s Hartong concern and many others l1ke 1t are all owned and operated by Don Hartong who IS now one of the country s m1ll1ona1res lack went 1nto busmess w1th Don soon after graduat1on from college The hero of the year ln football IS Sh1rley Young who was one of the 1952 graduates Shlrt has been play1ng for the Cleveland Browns for some trme now and IS soon to be moved up to head coach Tak1ng h1s place w1ll be another old classmate Ilm Starcher Garry Hershberger IS now coach1ng basketball 1n one of the leadmg colleges and another class mate Bruce Watk1ns IS teachmg electr1cal eng1neer1ng there also Out of the class of 52 comes one of the worlds greatest travelers She IS our one and only Sh1rley Keyser Sh1rley has been around the world several t1mes smce graduatlng and IS now on a tour to Pans and Rome Wh1le we stopped to make a telephone call we ran 1nto one of the remammg two of the class of 1952 Yes 1t IS Nancy H111 Nancy has been head telephone operator at Oh1o Bell On the shores of the AIIGHIIC along Mldml Beach IS a bequflful Cottage Where C1 young mother and her two ch1ldren stand look1ng out to sea It IS our own 11ttle Ioanne Hoover watchtng for her husband who IS now Captcun of h1s slnp to come from hrs last voyage So we return to the present The future sllps from our srght To all graduates success .
