Mr. David N. Johnson, Principal of Hartsville High School In this our first year together, we quickly accepted Mr. Johnson as our principal and found in him an enthusiasm that was contagious. This year has been both happy and successful. Mr. Johnson was born and grew up in Spartanburg County. He received his A.B. from Wofford and then attended the University of South Carolina for his Masters in Education. After teaching for a short time in El Paso, Texas, Mr. Johnson returned to South Carolina to be principal at a Union elementary school. From Union he came to Carolina Elementary School in Hartsville, and after four years there, he came to us as principal of Hartsville High School. Mr. Johnson is a member of St. Luke Methodist Church and is active in the Civitan Club.
