Due to the faet that the senior hoys are all retiring hy nature we were foreed to draw from other sources for the male eharaeters. The play was a great sueeess. - Lf FACULTY BURLESQUE On VVednesday, November 20, the entertained with a Faculty Take-off. introduced his faculty as follows: Mr. Park - - - Mr. Strozier Miss Blanks - Miss Swanson - - Miss Stotts Miss Kent - Miss Pardone - Mrs. Nolen student body and visitors were Daniel Thomas, as Mr. Fair Hugh Matthews - Charles Laws Gaddy Battles i Elizabeth Goodart Edna Chronister - Irene Katigan - Lizzie Koleszar - Anna Black The program consisted of an educational program by Mn Fair,' vocal solo by Mr, Park,', violin solo by 6'Mr. Strozierf' piano solo by Misses Swanson and Stotts, poems by Mrs. Nolen, vocal solo by Miss Kent,', Latin proverbs by Miss Pardonef' and a report of scandal by Miss Swanson. It was the unanimous consent of the faculty that they saw them- selves as others see them. The seniors were complimented for their keen power of observation and their ability as actors. FRESHMAN INITIATION The first party of the season was given for the Freshmen at the High School building, Friday evening, Oct. 4, 1923. The Sophomores had prepared an elaborate initiatory ceremony and they proceeded to inflict it upon the terrified Freshie.s. The hair-dressing and face paint- ing was all taken in good humor, after which the initiates were proclaimed full-fledged members of the high school.

XX ,f f x K? ' 1 5 tiff ,fz .... HIGH SCHOOL CARNIVAL The Carnival given by the high school December 21 proved a great success financially and otherwise. There were many attractions presented for the amusement and edfication of the patrons, among the most popular being the H49 show, Bluebeard's XVives,', and Maggie and Jiggsf' The crowning attraction of the evening was the nigger ministrel given hy the Senior Class. The curtain was rung down with the an- nouncement of the final vote in the popularity contest, which had been running for some weeks previously. Evelyn - - Irene Katigan Flora Mae - - Elizabeth Koleszar Miss Vi - Leona Guyton Julie - Rheba Stotts SENIOR CLASS ENTERTAIN ED Rev. and Mrs. Harry Cox entertained the Senior Class with a de- lightful informal party at their residence on Tuesday evening, October 30, 1923. The evening was given over to arrangements of the future activities of the class. Dainty refreshments were served during the evening.
