X J f 2 I X ::::: ,f SENIOR CLASS HISTORY On September 13, 1920 twenty-eight knowledge seekers, as we were pleased to call ourselves, entered Hartshorne High School. NVe were green and somewhat timid, but we soon overcame our timidity and ever since have been able to hold our own in the many struggles of high school life. Since we have been in high school Bernard Sims has represented us on the foot ball and basket ball teams and has made an enviable record. Roy Byrne has been a member of the track team for three years and is a broad jumper of wide repute. This year we have some new members on the basket ball and foot ball teams, namely Hugh Matthews and Joe Long. In '21 and '22 we went over the top in the popularity contestsg Irene Katigan being our candidate in '21, and Elizabeth Goodart in '22. Last year we turned our thoughts to other things and let the seniors and freshmen squabble over the honor. This year however we decided to get into the race again, so with Elizabeth Koleszar we won second place. The thing that pleased us most was when Elizabeth Goodart won first place in the R. I. H. S. C. voice contest. The girls' high school chorus has been a wonder and there is reason behind itg it is composed mainly of seniors, four girls representing us this year and all truly songbirds. Vile have always had members on the girls' basket ball team. This year we have three, Lorene Hall, Anna Black and Elizabeth Goodart. VVe have never lacked pep and enthusiasm for our pep leader, Dan Thomas, is a good one. He is a senior. You will observe that our class has a goodly number of distin- guished students. VVell, we had a chance to show our stuff last year at the .Iunior-Senior banquet. This was the crowning event of the year and some say the most splendid of its kind ever given here. Such has been our past and present and we now go forth upon the stormy sea of life, leaving our dear 'ol high school to the students of the coming years and to our faithful teachers, to whom we in part owe our SUCCESS. nt i nitmiuuinuiiminu

How you will miss our vim and pep And all our help to each bashful prep, Our lusty yells in athletic tests. VVe filled the school with spirit and zest. Mr. Park's a man we all admire, For Seniors who to work aspire A hearty answer, always the same, Sure, Fm for you, no matter what your name Now we give three cheers for you, And fifteen Rahs for each class too, And pray that God's rich grace may give, That you may ever nobly live.
