In our first upper school year Joan entered our group and joined us in the tribulations of impending initiations and frightfully grown-up subjects - such as Algebra I. Phoebe, returning, brought with her two cronies from public school - Betty and Sue. Pat also enhanced our galaxy, most of which by now had overcome childish fears, and was aptly christened, The Terrible Two's . As Three's we again exhibited our changeable natures and did a com- plete about-face which won us the cut for good behavior. That same year was marked by our trip to the Yankee Stadium when Miss Baker so patiently led us to and from the 42nd St. bus. Lee reappeared as a four accompanied by Sal just in time to help us in the joyous task of making twelve sandwiches or paying a dollar and twenty cents. Somehow we survived the horrors of the time and our first term-papers fnot without complaining, of coursej, and fearfully had our golden tresses chopped off in the modern fashion. QLiz, who had left us in the eighth grade, popped back just in time to be a Seniorj. Now we are Veterans of college boards and weekends, and those innumer- able annual meetings which make up the famous Senior year . And now what? . ..... We begin all over again. 1 9, I 'lgiffs' N, ' 1, 1 X X J ,... fi! we-u - Mya-' 0 op do
