FOREWORD Dear New Junior College: Our days seem brighter (due to the myriads of windows that comprise your walls), our studies seem easier (due to your comfortable desk-chairs, your well-ventilated and heated classrooms, your fresh splendor and spaciousness), and what is more, we seem happier and more contented (all due to you, New Junior College ). It is indeed surprising what our short sojourn within your portals has already accomplished toward making us a more cooperative working unit, a more ambitious group of students, and a more than grateful student body toward the people who have made you possible. Even the La Reata” has been influenced by you—and as this issue is the first yearbook to be born within your walls, will you do us the honor of being our theme for this edition? We hope and know that you will progress through the years, live long and become the best educational institution along the Pacific Coast.
