REMIL BENJHEE” VENEGAS Hartley's fifth foreign exchange student is Remil Benjhee Venegas. He comes to us from Quezon City. Philippines. Benjhee's parents in Hartley are Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy McCarty. His brothers and sisters here are Vince. Therese, Maureen. Noel and Shawn. Shawn and Benjhee are both sophomores. Back at home, Benjhee’s father, Emil Venegas, is an attorney, and his mother is a housewife. His brother and sister at home are Lisa. 21, and Manny, 14. Benjhee was one of our football managers this year. Also, he has participated in basketball. We have all enjoyed Benjhee’s being here this year, and we wish him the best of luck.

OLIVER ABBOTT We ore proud to dedicote the 1971 ORACLE to Mr. Oliver Abbott. An active member of the Hartley School system for 22 yeors, he has promoted higher education in the sciences to its fullest. A graduate of North Dakota State College, Mr. Abbott taught at schools in Langdon, North Dakota, Bemidji, Minnesota, and Rochester, Minnesota, before coming to Hartley in 1949. During his years at Hartley he hos taught courses in General Science, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, while also serving a brief period as principal. Among his other duties have been Student Council Advisor and promoter of the annual Science Foir. To you, Mr. Abbott, we say thonk you for your countless contributions in making our educational experience here o brighter one. We wish you the best in yeors to come.
