PETER ERBACHER Five Peter Erbacher, born on May 9, 1952, found himself in Des Moines, Iowa, on August 21, 1969. Met by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hoftyzer, Sr., he soon became acquainted with Hartley. He found America quite different than living in Arlesheim, Switzerland, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Erbacher and sister, Annelies. Peter’s family in Hartley consists of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hoftyzer, Harold Jr., a senior, Roger, a sophomore, and Sharon and Karen both in grade school. Peter has about I Vt years of high school left when he returns to Switzerland. After that his future is uncertain, but it will probably include going into a university. Peter would like to thank the Hartley Kiwanis, school and community for his enjoyable time here; and we would like to thank Peter for making this year very interesting for us.

She was sponsored by the Hartley Kiwanis Club. Martina’s parents in Hartley are Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Peterson. Her sisters are Jan, a Junior in high school, and Joni, an eighth grader, and her brother Jeff a Freshman in college. At home in Germany, her father is a customs officer and her mother is a housewife. She has one sister, Christia, and one brother, Rolf. She plans to return to Germany to finish her education. We have greatly enjoyed the year that Martina has spent with us and sin- cerely hope she has the best of everything in life.
