— THE 1967 ORACLE - JANITORS Herman DeYoung and Bob Butler, the two men who keep the building comfortable and clean, are on hand nearly every hour of the day. ‘‘Herm” has been with the Hartley staff for I 3 years and Bob joined the custodial unit two years ago. COOKS The hot lunch program at HHS is administered by Blanche Cummings, Lillian Klinker, Dorothy Steen and Corrine Brazle. Unfortunately there is no picture. How- ever, we are certain that the HHS student body will well remember the fine service that these ladies perform each day of the school year. Page Eight

— THE 1967 ORACLE — STUDENT COUNCIL Standing: D. Donnenwerth, M. Anderegg, W. Tschopp, J. Peterson. A. DeGraaf, G. Petersen, K. Boyer, M. McCorty. Seated: Mr. Abbott, advisor, S. Potter, S. Getting, G. Klett, president, L. McCarty. Members of the Student Council are elected by their classes to represent them in matters concerning the student body. This group also is in charge of a number of activities throughout the year, including the selection of the assembly programs brought to the student body. OFFICE SECRETARY Sharon IVinterboer Sharon Winterboer (Sharon Swenson, Class of '65) is truly the HHS “Girl Friday . The by-word for Mr. Borchard's secretary is “See Sharon about that . . . leave it with Sharon . . . Check that with Sharon . . She not only serves as secretary to the superintendent, which involves myriad details and record-keeping, but she also operates the various copy machines for the faculty members, punches lunch tickets daily for the students, and — in short — is a quietly efficient and essential part of the school picture.
