— THE 1967 ORACLE — PUBLICATIONS STAFF Standing: L. Petersen, B. Meyer, T. McBride, S. Ballou, R. Puhrmann, R. Crowner, R. Taylor, B. Wiese, M. Arthur, J. Gonnerman, K. O'Brien. Seated: A. Groen; D. Rusche; M. Anderegg, Oracle Editor; K. Vezina, Echo Editor; B. Enright; C. Olhausen. To you, the members of the faculty and student body, we of the publications staff express our thanks for your cooperation in helping us with our work on the Echo, Oracle, the radio program and Searcher. We hope that you have enjoyed these projects. We especially hope that you will enjoy the layout of the Oracle this year and that it brings back some pleasant times in these high school days when you dust it off in the attic many years from now. The editors also wish to thank those staff members who gave so generously of their free time. In the “busy-ness” of the school year, the business of meeting pub- lications deadlines is indeed difficult. The seniors who have served this year leave with a feeling of regret because these projects are enjoyable, but also a feeling of relief because now we turn the responsibility over to next year's reporters and editors. We wish them the very best! Page Four

— THE 1967 ORACLE - ORACLE ATTENDANTS Left to riflht: Shorolyn Koele, Mory Schierholz, Moureen Steinbeck and Roxie Morfitt. Each year the classes of Hartley High School select girls from their groups to represent the classes in the annual. As each book is purchased, the buyer votes for one of the four girls. The class whose candidate is voted Oracle Queen then choose a second girl to serve as the attendant. These five girls then reign over the Oracle party, held in late spring when the annual is circulated. The party is planned and sponsored by the Hartley chapter of Quill and Scroll, international honorary journalism fraternity. Page Six
