THE 1965 ORACLE - B MR. AUDLEY DcGRAAF Guidance Counselor, Mr. Audley DeGraaf, attended high school in Orange City. After graduation he spent two years attending Northwestern Junior College. He received his Bachelors degree at Westmar College. He also attended University of South Dakota at Vermillion, the University of Iowa at Iowa City, and the State Col- lege of Iowa at Cedar Falls. He came to Hartley in 1953 and has taught Junior High English, coached boys basket- ball and has taught psychology, driver’s training, sociology and economics. He began counseling in 1959. One cf Mr. DeGraaf's jobs is advisor of the Future Teachers of America. This is an organization of students who plan to enter the teaching profession in the future. FTA PROJECT One of the projects undertaken by the FTA girls this year was Teacher Appreciation Day, held on April 15. This day two members visited each room in both school buildings and presented an apple and a poem of appreciation to all faculty members.
