Hartland Player Qualifies For State BOYS TERMS Twenty four players made up the 1986 boys tennis team. It was coached by Judy Jagdfeld for the 6th year in a row. The Hartland guys tennis team wrapped up the season with a win-lose record of3- 11. Highlights of the season included a 7-0 win over Pinckney and a 7-1 win over Corrunna. Playing at number one doubles were Craig Larson and Curt Duncan; at number one singles was Tom riiemeyer, who won conference, and regionals, and went on to state. The tennis season was not what the team had intended it to be, but it did have its exciting moments. Grueling practices ana outstanding team members made last years track team a very competitive year. With a win-lose record of 8-5 for the girls and a 4-10 for the boys, both teams had its share ofups and downs. Coach Eichler led two of his girls to all-league and six to regionals. The 86 ' season for the girls was very successful. Carey Miotke, Sandy Potter, and Wendy Miles all contributed a great deal. For the boys it was not quite as successful. However, outstanding performances by Brett F lowers, Powell Meister and Glen Borkowski helped to make the season a memorable one. Team Wins Hartland Tournament girls TEnnis The girls tennis team this year carried 26 play- ers, a large number of them freshmen; Which lays a strong foundation in the years to come. The team had an over- all win-loss record of 4- 8, and took 5th place in the league. One of the highlights of the season was a tie for 1st place with Pinck- ney at the Hartland In- vitational.
