DRIVING When you turn sixteen, you have the priviledge of driv- ing. More important, you are now eligible to drive to school, no more riding a bus full of strange odors and screaming noises; now you can come to and leave school in your own car. But, when 2:15 p.m. ap- proaches, the average stu- dent driver takes part in THE RACE. Yes, this is the herd of cars that go on their furious rampage to- ward the exit. There, they make a right turn, only to drive 100 yards, and per- form the notorious U Turn in the Plaza across from the school.

If you were to only see one smile from a students face, it would probably surface betwe en 10:45 to 12:15; Lunch time. Remember the salad bar, not so hot lunches, chocolate milk, and the never ending search for a simple chair? And how can you forget the waiting in the crowded French Fry line. nevertheless, lunch gives students a chance to breathe. It allows you to talk about the weekend past and the coming Friday night. You can hear students talking about last nights game, or mourning over the test they took 3rd hour. Whatever the case, you couldn ' t make it through one day without lunch. ,1 1 s

What can you say about work? In school or out, not many students look forward to it. Whether it ' s an essay for Mrs. Eichler, a story for Mr. Merrill, an experiment for Mr. Mishier, or a speech for Mrs. Bachman, we ail have to do it. Don ' t forget working out of school. Places such as Food- town, McDonalds, Burger King, Movieland, Shell, Mat- thews, ttartland Pizza, Cosmos, and other local busin- esses have supplied students with jobs for many years, years.
