We also have a very strong group of reserves. We should have enough player material this year to make up two teams including eleven letter men from last yearfsseason. With the very able coach- ing of Mr. Nelson we are sure to dish out some stiff competition. LEFT T0 RIGHT: M. Fleischman, J. Vinz, E. Grover, C. 0'Conn0r, P Pfeiffer, E. 0'Connor. TOP ROI: J. Our Coach Hartland High School and Community can well be proud of the record of Earl M. Morgan and the teams he has coached during his nine years here. It is a Championship Record. Morgan teams have captured the 4C Conference Championship five times in nine years. This year's Championship team averaged 51.5 points to 26.5 for their opponents and seta single game record of 80 points. Morgan basketball teams hold a record of 70 victories and 19 defeats. Winning is a habit with Morgan and his teams. But even more important than the drive to victory that Morgan instills in his teams, is the spirit of sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork which his teams consistently demonstrate to the credit and honor of our community. ZWZ,-4.4 7 The Hartland High School Basketball team swept through theEast Troy-Water- ford District Tournament by defeating Genoa City, East Troy and the Racine County Aggies. Elheteam continued their fine play to defeat thescrappy Marshall five, winners of the Juneau District Tournament. The score was close throughout the game but Hartlande teamwork and shoot- ing ability finally proved to b e the winning factors. In the Sectional Tournament at West Allis the Trojans were defeated, losing to the State Champions, Vlauwatosa. Up to the last four minutes Hartland remained even with the Raiders , but inthe final min- utes Tosa's height and speed proved to be Hart1and's downfall.
