Q mz,srNNAMoN Z Qffhzfff ln behalf of the faculty and the undergraduates may I, your director, extend to each of you my congratulations and best wishes. The education you have received here at Hartford Regional Technical School is only a foundation to be used to build a future of success and happiness. You have within your grasp the power to be- come the person you wish to be. As skill in your trade is developed by the constant repetition of good working habits, personality and char- actor are developed by the little things you do, day-by-day actions which add up to make you the person you are today, the person you will be tomorrow. To most graduates we say you are standing on the threshold of a new day, but to you, graduates of 1958, we say, you are standing tip toe on the brink of a new era, the age of nuclear energy. The dawn of the space ship is glowing on the eastern horizon. What wonders it will hold for you! The skills, knowledge, and attitudes developed by your technical education, enhanced by your general education is the crying need of our country today. The seed of technical education you received here can be fostered and developed to embark you on the flight to the upper echelons of engineering. The hope and future of our country is in the hands of the T958 graduates. We, the administrators and the faculty, have every con- fidence that you will meet the needs demanded of you, will be ex- cellent representatives of our school and will pave the way in industry and the community for graduates who are to follow you.
