,pf William E. Casely, principal of our school, is shown here enioying one of his few leisure moments. His time is usually consumed directing the affairs of the students, maintaining order in the school building, and the general governing of all school activities. When asked to give his opinion on the 1953-54 school year, he complied most cooperatively by giving us this statement: lt is not possible to evaluate the success or failure, of the school year-unless that year is considered only as being one step in the over-all progress which should identify every good school. On this basis, the 1953- 54 school year has been successful. It has been characterized by the willingness of the faculty and admin- istration to initiate studies and develop plans which will make our program more nearly meet the needs of our students. The plans which have been developed this year will pay dividends in the way of better educa- tional opportunities, and better education, for Hartford's young people. In education, that is the measure of success. We, the members of the 1953-54 senior class would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Casely for his guidance and instruction which have helped to make these past four years beneficial to us. w-0' School life goes on from day to day with many of the students heedless of the trials and tribulations of the administration of the school Much work must go on behind the scenes. We are very fortunate to have such an efficient and generous school board. They have allotted the school a liberal budget which has enabled us to enloy many of the opportunities presented throughout the The members of our school board are C S Leach Treasurer, A. L. Kissel, Director, W. E.
