Dedication Many of us only know Mr. “Mac Hooper as that teacher with the nice camera dangling around his neck and the computer keyboard dangling from his fingertips. Yet twenty-six years after coming to the Hartford School District, this man has quite a list of accomplishments following him. Mr. Hooper has been a yearbook adviser, a member of the National Honor Society Nominating Committee, a Junior Class Adviser, a member of the Vermont Historical Society, and adviser of the Drama Club directing high school drama produc-tions for over fifteen years. As one teacher said, “He was usually involved in EVERYTHING! And all this time he had that camera around his neck capturing the history of Hartford High School. He often photographed ice hockey games and had the prints ready to show by the time the team stepped off the bus. It has been estimated that over 70% of all the yearbook photos have been both taken by and paid for by Mr. Hooper. The word “giving” comes up again and again when talking about Mr. Hooper. One teacher explains, “Mac’s a very giving person and would do whatever you'd ask. A student adds, He’s a wonderful teacher and will help you with whatever you need.” For the past twenty-six years, Mr. Hooper has been commited to this school and its students. Whether in sharing his insight on Christabel, his incredible knowledge of computers, his proofsheets and negatives, or his popcorn after school, he is a giving man! It is for this reason that the 1987 KEY Yearbook is dedicated to Mr. Hooper and wishes him all of life’s best. 2 Dedication
