I would like you to consider the following before you make your final decision on a career. Increased population, longer life span, labor-saving devices, greater speed, demand for more and better education, more leisure time and many others are all contributing factors to what constitutes major social problems. These have all come upon us with such suddenness that society still staggers from the impact. Problems growing out of the above beset untold mil lions. The workers who help solve these problems are in short supply. Teachers, social workers, ministers, doctors, nurses and all the other members of social agencies just are not sufficient in number to meet the demand. There will be careers offering higher salaries, a future with greater security, better working conditions and many other benefits that will in general make life easier: but when you come to make your decisions if you are looking for challenge, for problems that can't be solved by a formula and for satisfactions not to be found in any other way, be sure to look carefully at the l n mg r A teacher affects eternity: he can never tell where his influence stops. social agencies. At the end of the season Steve Abbott and John Brown were elected co-captains. It is not difficult to maintain a great team spirit when a victory streak is on the way. Our boys did not win a game. But despite this, they continued to show a fine competitive spirit to the end of the season, when they nearly pulled off the upset of the year before going down to defeat to a good Windsor Team. The school may well be proud of every member on the squad. With experience gained by many boys, better results are hoped for next year, 3 W xx My kj ' 'U il I A Vx-0 1' fp in . .W . Next year, with three starters from this year's team, plus four good substitutes, Hart- ford is in a position to have a good season.
