The purpose of a yearbook ls to remind us of the good times that we have had at HARTFORD HIGH SCHOOL. We, the staff, hope that this yearbook will bring back memories of our years of activities and accomplishments in high school, The Staff We dedicate this yearbook to Miss Kingsbury, a woman of undying generosity and ambition. For years Miss Kingsbury has served not only the class of 55 but the entire high school. On nearly any given night you could find Miss Kingsbury's light on in room 2, undoubtedly doing something for the school. To her we give a long-deserved and well eam- ed THANK YOU. To Mr. Iurras, in appreciation for the work which he has put into this yearbook and our class in gener- al. Without our background in history and geography, we would not fare well in the world of today. T fk 7 FACULTY T fx 7 An acre of performance is worth a whole land of promise. Many students took part in cutting the crepe paper, hanging it, and making stars so before we knew it the decorations were all up. Then there were those last minute things to do, such as seeing if all the tables and chairs were set up, if the name cards were on the tables, and if the punch was ready to be made. When the big day arrived everything was ready. A fairly good sized crowd came and they all seemed to have a good time. The next day all the decorations had to be taken down: the tables and lamps had to be taken back to their owners. We hope that the class of '56 and other classes have as much fun in planning and decorating for their Prom as we did. 4 Trouble Shooter Cast, left to right: Tim Dailey Qbehind curtainy Jeanne Johnson, Shirley Heavisides Virginia Hill, Donald Gray, Albert Hamilton, John Ballon, Pauline Derusha.
