John P. Cates DEDICATION Mr. Gates first taught the Class of ‘ 18 as Seventh Grade students. In 1943, he went into the Armed Service and didn't return to H.H.S. until 1947. We of the Class of '48 are deeply grateful to the man who set us off on the right foot as Seventh Graders and guided us carefully over the rough paths of the Senior year. [8]
