KIRK LITERATURE To vary the SUUQSDUB' routine and to gain a better comprehension of the play Macbeth , Miss Bean brought the recording machine from the county office for our Junior Senior English class Orson Welles and Faye Bainter portrayed the roles of Lady Macbeth and Macbeth respectively Gif SCHOLERSHIP We are proud of Rosa Lee Emerson, who took second lace in the county, on the algebra test Herbert Snider, who earned tenth place in the senior scholarship test, Rosanna Moore, who finished sixth in English and American His tory, and Joe Meier, who took sev enth place in American History iii HONOR SOCIETY New members of the Licking High School Honor Society were initiated at Summit High School February 17 The new mem bers were Rosanna Moore, junior, and Imogene Bauman, senior Her- bert Snider, a second year member pressive program in the candle lighted gymnasium The Annual Ban quet was held April 2l at Han over QQ! SOCIAL EVENTS Students of Kirk ersville Higl School enjoyed number of skatlng parties Those held before Christmas inspired ma ny of our students to ask Santa fo shoe skates The juniors and seniors had a weinner roast at Joe Mart1n's home After the juniors have given their play, they plan to give a banquet for the seniors in Columbus iii A number of our students en joyed the Annual Licking County Activity Banquet which was held in the Hebr n gv P1111 or March 26 HIGH MUSIC Our high school BOUSBVSPB thecharm of music this year under the able direction of Miss Taylor Our girls' Glee Club sang at the Xmas Pageant held here at the school house and also at Grange The Girls' Sextet sang several humor ous numbers at the Senior Play, March 28 They sang several for Chapel on Thursday, before Easter We have been practicing some songs and dances for the annual May Day Program Here's to a musical Day in May! have been ringing out 'UNO HOME EC The Home Ec girls are very busy completing their fourth sewing project, spring dresses he entertained the F F A boys After playing folk games and re lays, the girls enjoyed using the new stoves in preparing 'eats' for the party We were all interest ld in our field trip to Columbus in which we visited Kroger's Bak ery, United Woolen Company. Laz arus, and the State House W are planning another field trip to the Home Economics department at Ohio State University QQ!
